The Supreme Court of Canada has set a tentative date of January 17, 2019, for the hearing of the Wartsila appeal (see description in earlier post). The case deals with the interface of federal maritime law and provincial law in the context of sale and purchase of major ship-engine parts, but depending on how the Court rules could have broader impact.
